Neben Künstlern wie beispielsweise MSTRKRFT, The Bloody Beetroots, Armand Van Helden, Shinichi Osawa und Shadow Dancer hat Dim Mak sogar eine eigene Fashion-Collection. Diese wird quasi mit dem neuen Mixtape angeworben. Es ist wirklich sehr beachtlich was der Kalifornier Steve Aoki da auf die Beine gestellt hat. Doch Labelboss sein ist nicht alles. Zusätzlich unterstützt er seine Schützlinge bei fast jeder Party und produziert neben bei auch eigene Tracks und das sogar unter 2 Aliasen - Weird Science und Steve Aoki. Dazu zählen auch Remixe für Bloc Party, FACT, Duran Duran und Lenny Kravitz. Okay klingt alles nicht wirklich nach großen Namen aus der elektronischen Szene, dafür arbeitet er aber aktuell an einer EP zusammen mit den beiden Italienern von The Bloody Beetroots. Dim Mak ist eigentlich eine Kampfsportart und ist auch als “Kunst der tödlichen Berührung” bekannt. Zugegeben, die Musik klingt echt brutal, aber tödlich ist sie Gott sei Dank nicht. Steve Aoki wird schon gewusst haben warum er diesen Namen gewählt hat und uns soll es nicht stören. Solang weiterhin so super Tracks auf Dim Mak veröffentlicht werden, ist es egal wie das Label heißt. Gemixt wurde das 72 minütige DJ-Set von Fashen & Thee Mike B, ebenfalls DJs von Dim Mak, und herunterladen kann man es sich auf dem Blog von Dim Mak. […]
