We need YOU to help FROM MONUMENT TO MASSES get some great COLLEGE RADIO play. Please request FMTM at your local radio station and enter our CONTEST!

February 4, 2009

From Monument to Masses are having a wonderful day!

FROM MONUMENT TO MASSES
HITS COLLEGE RADIO ON TUESDAY FEB10TH

The From Monument to Masses album “On Little Known Frequencies” is hitting college radio and WE NEED YOUR HELP! This phenomenal post-rock instrumental album is destined for the ears of indie-rock radio listeners nationwide, especially the college kids out there searching for the freshest, new rock outfit to tell all their lab partners about.

To listen to the band, please check out their myspace HERE or their RCRDLBL page HERE.

We need your help TO REQUEST THE ALBUM to college radio stations in your area, in your region, and really…anywhere you feel like calling. If you dig the band and the album, then you can help make a huge difference for From Monument to Masses by helping them gain they buzz they deserve on college radio. You can request any song you want, but we encourage the first single (a spine-tinglingly awesome song), “Beyond God and Elvis”.

Every station should already have the album and some already may be playing it, but the album officially goes for ads through CMJ (College Music Journal – they track college radio play counts) on THIS TUESDAY FEB. 10TH. So, please hit hard with your requests to any and all of the stations and below, starting TODAY!

***CONTEST***
To make this even more interesting, we are going to throw a little contest at you!

  • For every request that you make to a radio station, email Contest@dimmak.com (1) the station, (2) the song request, (3) the date and time, and (4) their response (ex: “Sure, we’ll play it” OR “Crap, we don’t have that.”). PLEASE let us know, if for some reason, they don’t have the album.
  • If you go online and find the station’s website or myspace and make a request on there, please CC Contest@dimmak.com or forward us your message.
  • Please try to send all your requests on a given day in one email or message so we don’t get overloaded.
  • We will call and/or email the stations to verify your requests, when needed.
  • The top three people who send us the most requests to radio stations from NOW until March 1st will receive (1) a free copy of the “On Little Known Frequencies” album when it comes out in March, and (2) a Dim Mak sticker pack, and (3) a surprise Dim Mak item.

The band has “sweetened the deal” by adding these perks to the contest:
“Anyone who’s actually willing to take their time to help us out deserves a personal “Thank You”. With that said, FMTM will give the TOP 10 (including the 3 Dim Mak winners) a prize package including limited edition silkscreened FMTM posters, buttons, and stickers. Just enter as listed out above and we’ll get your info from Dim Mak. Thanks in advance for helping out!!! - Sergio/FMTM

***THE RELEASE***

From Monument to Masses return with their sophomore release “On Little Known Frequencies” on Dim Mak Records, weaving together an eclectic array of genres into their post-rock core.  Inspired by everything from hip hop beats to classical string

arrangements to the explosive energy of early hardcore, FMTM twist  these styles to match their aesthetic instead of throwing out overt  references.  The album is also laden with spooky snippets of sampled  political dialogue, another example of the band’s decision to stray away from  simply saying what they feel.  FMTM recorded over 60+ minutes of  adventurous, forward-thinking music that resulted in quite possibly the last great instrumental rock opus. Think “Dark Side of the Moon”  meets DJ Shadow’s “Endtroducing”.

To listen to the band, please check out their myspace HERE or their RCRDLBL page HERE.
