13th Witness “Underground Vibes”

Check out 13 Witness’ newest short film following a night of Shingo Iwasaki cruising through the Shibuya and Harajuku districts in Tokyo.
Underground Vibes is a simple artistic and beautiful video that has alot of resonance for me. It really captures the sensations and joy in the process of skating. It isn’t all about ollieing the biggest gaps, but enjoying skating can be done through even just setting up your board or getting ready to skate a spot. the film looks away from big tricks (except that steezy tre flip) to capture the joy that is the simple pleasure of cruising. Also it features a great view of some of my favorite places in Tokyo, that i have been lucky enough to skate myself.
Says 13th Witness: “It’s not about tripods, rails, or half pipes. Nor is it about trying to cram as many tricks into a clip as you can. […] This video is meant to take you on a visual journey. My interpretation of a place I once called home myself. Tokyo!”
